Provided training: Emergency planning updated proof of identity documents 3 hour follow up training due 3/2020

Comments:
An unannounced SHSI inspection was conducted today from 10:40 am- 12:00 pm. There were 2 children in care ( 3 points) in addition to the providers son and family member. The children were engaged in activities including, magna tiles, building, singing and preparing for school. The vendor/ household records/ pet records and emergency planning supplies were reviewed. Handwashing and cleaning routines were discussed. If there are any questions regarding this inpsection please contact kelly.savittiere@dss.virginia.gov

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-A
Description: Based on information reviewed, required information was not available for child in care. Evidence: Child A ( relative) did not have information on file.

Plan of Correction: The baby is my niece and her mom is at the DMV. She doesn't come normally. I will get file for her.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-170-B
Description: Based on information reviewed, required child information was incomplete. Evidence: Child B does not have emergency contact listed as required.

Plan of Correction: I will get from parents.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-380-H
Description: Based on observation, medication, except for those prescriptions designated otherwise by written physician?s order, including refrigerated medication and medications for caregivers and household members, were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: Vendor's eye drops were sitting on diaper changing area in children's play area.
