The center reported an incident at the center regarding a forbidden action. The inspector conducted a virtual inspection and reviewed the information the center provided, as well as other available fact. The center was presented with a violation notice that covered the standard that was violated. The ongoing compliance with the standards is the responsibility of the licensee. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-410-1 Description: Staff at the center physically punished a child.
Evidence : On 11/17, 2020 a staff at the center was observed tapping a child on his hands and his bottom because the child was taking his pants off and pulling his pull up down. The child is a none verbal 3 year old. The staff told management staff that she was trying to get the child's attention and get him to stop pulling down his pants.Plan of Correction: The staff has been terminated.
