Program has been unable to obtain Part 2 Training in MAT and have notified future enrollments they are unable to administer medication until they obtain certification.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An Initial inspection was initiated on January 4, 2021 and concluded on January 06, 2021. The Director and the Administrator were contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There are over 20 children enrolled but not present. The program has hired and trained staff in preparation of opening. The Inspector emailed the Director a list of items required to complete the inspection and it includes the Evaluation of Building form. The Inspector discussed items required for children?s records and reviewed staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4579

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on interview and record review it was determined 1 of 5 staff records discussed and reviewed was missing information.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 was missing one background check as required by the regulation entitled Background Checks for Licensed Child Day Centers. The out of stated Central Registry Search was not obtained.
2. A current TB Health report was not complete.Plan of Correction: We realized our mistake about the staff member's out of state Central Registry Search and sent out a request. We will ensure all future staff files are screened to verify residency requirements are met. We also noticed the TB Screening needed to be current and had staff take test yesterday. We will ensure all staff TB Screenings are screened for current status.
