This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 1/19/2021 and concluded on 1/19/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 15 children present and 4 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 2 staff records, and background checks for all Agents submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain results of a central registry check every five years for one Agent.
Evidence:
The most recent central registry check results in the record for Agent #1 were dated 7/1/2015.Plan of Correction: The center will provide documentation that the VA central registry check has been sent within 10 business days.
