This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the daycare center was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the program and facility.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted at 10:25am. The center director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and provided a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 36 children present + 9 direct-care staff present during the inspection. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The center was well supplied with toys and equipment for children, and appeared clean and organized today. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were no non-compliances with applicable standards or laws reviewed.
