A discussion was held regarding the 3 hour update to the Virginia Preservice Training.
- Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on February 8, 2021 and concluded on February 11, 2021. The director was contacted by video call to initiate the inspection. There were 55 children present and 11 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-B Description: Based on review of five staff records, three do not contain the required documentation of completing Virginia Preservice Training.
Evidence:
The records for staff members #1, #2 and #3 do not have documentation of completing the three hour updated Virginia Preservice Training within 90 days of employment.Plan of Correction: All staff will complete the training by next week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-F Description: Based on review of five staff records, two records do not contain the required documentation of completing CPR and first aid training within 90 days of first day of employment.
