An out of state search of the sex offender registry must be completed for all staff/adult household residents (Family Day Homes) who have resided outside of the state of Virginia within the past 5 years. In addition, an out of state criminal history record search must be completed for staff/adult household residents who have resided in any non-NFF states within the past 5 years. This requirement also applies to staff who currently reside outside of the state of Virginia.
The license cannot be issued until the remaining administrative documents are submitted for review, including all required background checks for management personnel and an approval inspection from the Department of Health.
Maximum capacity was determined based on a review of floor plans and measurements provided with the initial application. This number is subject to change once the Inspector is permitted to conduct an on-site inspection to measure all child care spaces.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An announced inspection for initial licensure was conducted on 2/12/2021. Currently, no children are in care nor are children fully enrolled. The Inspector reviewed 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
