The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 2/4/2021 and concluded on 2/10/2021. The Director was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There are thirty four children enrolled and nine staff in 2 groups including a group of school-age distance learners. Reviewed a sample of staff and children's records, medication authorizations and storage, nutrition (bottles for 2 very young children as well as lunch provided from home), trainings and emergency preparation. Children are using the blacktop and yard rather than the local playground for outside time. COVID safety practices include the program using an app to screen for COVID symptoms each morning, temperature checks, enhanced cleaning and mask wearing for all children over 5 as well as staff. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued
