This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 02/18/2021 and concluded on 02/18/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were eight children present and four staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-450-C Description: Based on an interview with a member of administration, the center did not ensure that crib linens should be washed daily. Evidence: During an interview with the licensing inspection, a member of administration reported that crib linens were being routinely washed one time per week. Plan of Correction: Administration will ensure that crib linens are washed daily.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-M Description: Based on a review of injury reports, one record did not contain the required components. Evidence: The licensing inspector observed that the injury report reviewed did not contain information about future actions to prevent recurrence of the injury. Plan of Correction: Administration will ensure that the injury report form is revised to include a field to include information about how to prevent an injury from recurring in the future.
