Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Provided training link to provider for the AuviQ training.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was conducted virtually via Facetime. A total of 46 children with 12 staff were on site. Observation of three classrooms was made. Children were observed lining up to go to the gym for gross motor activities, learning about surface friction and engaging with staff. Both staff and children were observed wearing masks. Individual bins were observed containing children's lunches and blankets for naptime. A total of 3 children's records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation during this process. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov with questions.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-D-1
Description: Based on review of medications on site and staff statements, staff did not satisfactorily complete a required component of the medication administration training.
Evidence: An AuviQ medication was on site. According to Staff #2, the MAT training completed by staff did not include the AuviQ training component.

Plan of Correction: All staff who are MAT trained will complete the AuviQ training component.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation of one classroom, one area was not maintained in a safe manner.
Evidence: The window cords/chains in the 2 1/2 year old classroom were within reach of the children in care which poses an entangling hazard.

Plan of Correction: We will remind staff to wrap the cords around the brackets that are out of reach of the children.
