Comments:
This Inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/03/2021 and concluded on 03/03/2021. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 5 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 of staff records (required documents on site only) submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based on a review of documentation, 1 staff record does not contain an updated negative TB screening/test result within 2 years.
Evidence:
Staff #1's TB documentation is dated 2/8/2019 (expired)

Plan of Correction: Our contract is through the Loudoun County Health Department and they have been closed for TB tests and screenings until recently, where they allow us to schedule appointments one day per week. The waiting list is backlogged for two months. Additionally, any staff who have received the Covid-19 vaccination must wait 4 weeks to get a TB PPD test per the Loudoun County Health Department in order to avoid false negatives. We are working on alternative solutions and have a plan in place for all staff with expired TB tests/screenings to be current by the end of March 2021.
