Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Discussed emergency evacuation drill requirement during the months of operation and the difficulty of meeting this requirement when the program is not consistently open on a daily basis.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was conducted via Facetime with staff. A total of 4 children with 2 staff were present during the inspection. The children were observed finishing their snack and transitioning to table activities. The activities consisted of coloring spring flowers, working with magnet manipulatives and watching animal crossing. The program area was decorated with artwork completed by the children such as a large cherry blossom tree and St Patrick's Day decorated clovers. Both staff and children were observed wearing masks and practicing social distancing. No medication on site today. A total of 2 children's files and staff certifications were reviewed. Remaining requirements to include background checks for staff are reviewed at the administrative office on an annual basis. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection process. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
