This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on April 16, 2021 and concluded on April 16, 2021. The site manager was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 7:10 a.m. A virtual inspection was then conducted. There were seven children ages five years through ten years old under the care and supervision of two staff. Children were observed playing a game in the gym area, at arrival and preparing for morning snack. Morning snack choices this morning were rice krispies cereal and milk or yogurt and grahams. The inspector emailed the site manager and a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed four children's records and two staff files submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Emergency drills were up to date. The monthly menu was reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
