An unannounced SHSI inspection was conducted today from 1:30 pm- 2:40 pm. There were 2 children ( 5 points) in care at the time of the inspection. Vendor/household member information/ child information, emergency planning and drills were reviewed. The home was safe and there was an abundance of age appropriate activities for children in care. The children were observed resting, playing with blocks and practicing colors and numbers. Hand washing, diaper changing and cleaning routines were also discussed. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based upon information reviewed the vendor did not maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: there was no written attendance of child arrival times for 2 children in care at the time of the inspection. Plan of Correction: I will do it. ( corrected during inspection)
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-240-C-2 Description: Based upon observation, electrical outlets did not have protective covers that are of a size that cannot be swallowed by children. Evidence: There were 2 outlets without protective covers in the dining area during inspection. Plan of Correction: I will cover them.
