Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/03/2021 and concluded on 05/04/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 54 children present and 18 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2
Description: Based on record review, it was determined that the center did not ensure that Central Registry search results were obtained by the end of the 30th day of employment.
Evidence:
1) On the day of inspection, the record for Staff #3 (start date 10/21/2020) did not contain results of a Central Registry search.

Plan of Correction: Paperwork will be submitted to central Registry tomorrow (05/07/2021)
