The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
- Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/10/2021 and concluded on 05/18/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 15 children present and 6 staff. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Evidence:
The first aid kit did not include scissors or tweezers.Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided during the exit interview:
The director will add scissors and tweezers to the center's first aid kit.

Evidence:
The center's radio did not have batteries and was inoperable.Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided during the exit interview:
Batteries will be purchased and tested in the radios to ensure they work properly.
