Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/17/2021, and concluded on 5/18/2021, approximately from 10:03 am to 11:03 am. There were 42 children supervised by 15 direct care staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection.

The physical plant, 7 staff records, 7 children?s records, children activities, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected. During the inspection, children were in outdoor play. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance Child Care Programs.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based on staff records review, 1 out 7 records, the center did not maintain at least every two years from the date of the first initial screening or testing, or more frequently as if recommended by a licensed physician or the local health department, staff members obtain and submit the results of a follow-up tuberculosis screening.
Evidence: Staff #4's last tuberculosis screening was on 1/08/2019.

Plan of Correction: Sent staff member to make an appointment for her TB
