This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 and concluded on Thursday, May 27, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 39 children present and 9 staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-4 Description: Based on review of staff records and interview with staff, the center did not ensure to obtain a copy of the results a sex offender registry check from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: In Staff# 1's record (date of hire 12/16/19), there was no results of a sex offender registry check found. Interview with staff confirmed the sex offender registry search had not be completed prior to this inspection review.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
