This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 6-8-21 and concluded on 06-9-21. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 68 children present and 11 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and four staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on are view of four staff files, the facility failed to ensure that all staff complete all required background checks.
Evidence:
1. The fingerprint background checks for staff #2 & 4 were not completed before employment. Staff #2 was hired 10-12-20 and the fingerprint background check is dated 3-10-21. Staff #4 was hired on 5-3-21 and the fingerprint background check is dated 5-18-21Plan of Correction: The administrator will ensure that staff are not hired until the fingerprint background check is received.
