Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed requirements for documenting that there is not a second parent/guardian. Blank spaces on forms is not acceptable.
2. Reviewed/trained vendor on new subsidy requirements.
3. Forms provided: new emergency plan, and trip/transportation permission.

Comments:
10:25-11:10am Annual unannounced subsidy inspection conducted. There were no children present today. The inspector met with the vendor to review subsidy requirements and determine compliance. The childcare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment. The vendor currently participates in the USDA Food Program. The vendor is currently certified in First Aid/CPR. Safety non-compliances found.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-240-C-2
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that electrical outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: Two outlets in the bathroom used by the children did not have covers.

Plan of Correction: The vendor will cover the outlets.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-390-B-2
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that there was not a working battery-operated radio. Evidence: There was an insufficient number of batteries in the home to operate the radio.

Plan of Correction: The vendor will buy and keep the required batteries to operate the radio.
