Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/7/21 and concluded on 06/15/2021. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 116 children present and 23 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: The center was did not complete all the required fire drills.
Evidence:
1. The inspector reviewed drill documentation and the March drill was not completed.

Plan of Correction: The center director will make sure monthly drills and other drills are completed.
