This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on June 14, 2021 and concluded on June 15, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. A virtual inspection was then conducted beginning at 2:45 p.m. There were 137 children present ages 5 months through 12 years old under the care and supervision of 20 staff. Infants were observed being fed and having playtime on the floor. Older infants, toddlers and two year olds were observed preparing afternoon snack. Afternoon snack was cinnamon muffins and milk. Three and four year olds were observed during transition after afternoon snack, hand washing and having bathroom breaks. School agers were observed preparing for snack. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed four children?s records and three new staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Emergency drills were up to date and the weekly menu was reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
