This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An initial inspection was initiated on April 16, 2021 and concluded on May 3, 2021. The administrator was contacted by telephone to conduct the virtual zoom inspection. The Inspector reviewed zero children?s records, two staff records, and three board officers submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The administrator was contacted to conduct an on-site inspection to obtain measurments. The inspector reviewed floor plans as well as a virtual walk though of building and grounds.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-4 Description: Based on a review of records and interview, the center did not obtain all of the required out-of-state background checks for one staff member.
1. The record for officer #1 did not contain an out of state Criminal Background Check.
2. Administrator #1 confirmed that the out-of-state background check results had not been received as of May 3, 2021.
Plan of Correction: Background was sent out but was not received at the time of inspection.
