Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on August 2, 2021 and concluded on August 5, 2021. The owner was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 15 children present, ranging in ages from six-years-old to eleven-years-old, with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two children's records and two staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2
Description: Based on record review and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure all employees had a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.

Evidence:

1. Staff 2 did not have a a central registry finding in his/her file on the day of the inspection. His/her date of hire was 6/1/2021. Staff 1 verified that the form had not been sent back nor had they inquired about the status of the form.
