This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, document review and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/05/2021 and concluded on 08/06/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 5 children, ages 14 months-3 years, and 3 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, programs, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 children?s records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-E Description: Based on observation and discussion with the staff, the facility failed to maintain the nonmedical emergency supplies as required by the standards.
Evidence: There was not a working, battery-operated radio available during the inspection.Plan of Correction: Will keep the rechargeable radio charged or will buy a back-up radio.
