The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. The violations listed below reflect the new VDOE codes and standards. The new Standard numbers are:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 08/05/2021 and concluded on 08/06/2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted in response to an Intensive Plan of Correction (IPOC) submitted by the center and accepted by VDSS on 5/25/2021. The IPOC was transferred to the Department of Education on 7/1/2021 and this inspection was to ensure compliance with the IPOC. The IPOC was required in response to violations found during a complaint inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, and staffing and supervision.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
