Technical Assistance:
Discussion of Standard 8 VAC 20-780-560.F.5.c which states that centers should list any substituted food. Prior to the children's arrival into the program, staff observed a change in what was posted on the monthly menu. The caterer had delivered items that were different from what had been previously listed. The menu was then corrected to reflect accurately what food would be served later that day.

Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.

This inspection was initiated and concluded on 09/09/2021. The Children's Programs Coordinator was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 32 children present, ranging from 5 to 10 years in age, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication (no medication on site); special care and emergencies (drills up to date); and nutrition (menu posted). A total of 5 children records were reviewed. Documents required to be located on site for the 2 staff supervising were reviewed; all other staff documentation is reviewed on an annual basis through the Loudoun PRCS main office.

The information gathered during the inspection determined that there was not a violation to an applicable standard or law. Therefore, a Violation Notice was not issued.
