The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. Guidance, resources and training links can be found on the new website childcareva.com.
New Center Day Standards were effective 10/13/2021.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/8/2021. Administration was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 17 children present, ranging in ages from 2 to 4 years of age, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. 4 children's records and staff trainings were reviewed. No new staff have been hired since the previous visit. Lunch served today was breakfast for lunch-french toast, eggs, turkey sausage and fruit cocktail with milk. No medication was reported to be on-site. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
