Discussion on center policies and procedures, communication with parents, and feeding of infant children.

Comments:
A complaint investigation was initiated on October 21, 2021,regarding infant feeding, care of children, and communication with parents. Interviews were conducted and documentation were reviewed. There was a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding programs and care for children. The complaint related violations are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on documentation review and interviews, the center did not maintain compliance with their own policies and procedures required by standards.
Evidence:
1. The center's policies and procedures regarding food policies were not followed by staff. The center's policies and procedures for "Preparing and Feeding an Infant Solid Food" states refrigerate remaining food, note the date the container was open, and discard any opened unused food after 24 hours.
2. Staff #1 did not follow the center's employees policy for communication with parents of a child's daily schedule.

Evidence:

Description: Based on interview and documents, the center did not ensure food was stored in a clean and sanitary manner.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 open food pouches that were not properly stored. The open food spilled in the container and created mold. Food pouches continued to be stored container with mold. The container was not clean and sanitize.
