Reviewed information to revise in the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome prevention plan.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/18/2022 and concluded on 1/19/2022. The Director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 46 children present, ranging in ages from 11months to 5years, with 9 staff supervising. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 4 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A
Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records do not include all required information.
1 - Child record B does not include documentation showing that the parent has reviewed the child's contact information within the past year. This file was most recently reviewed by the parent on 1/11/2021.
2 - Child record C does not include the contact information for two emergency contact people.

Plan of Correction: 1 - The parent will be asked to review the information in the file.
2 - The family just moved here. I will remind them to provide the emergency contact information.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-B
Description: Based on a review of emergency preparedness items, it was determined that the emergency preparedness plan does not include information detailing the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.

Plan of Correction: Now that I'm clear as to what needs to be included, I will create a Continuity of Operations Plan. I will send it to the Inspector for review.
