Discussion of some of the new standards that went into effect on 10/13/2021. The Center Director was encouraged to download a digital copy from the departments website. It was also determined that the center complies with the new standard that requires buildings built prior to 2015 that serve preschool age children to have at least one carbon monoxide detector installed on-site.
Discussion of a review for documentation to have on file for board officers.
Discussion of the center's mask policy versus the recent Executive Order #2 signed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
A copy of an allergy plan form was emailed to the center.

A monitoring inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.
This inspection was initiated and concluded on 01/21/2022. The Director was contacted and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 71 children present, ranging from toddler to preschool age, in 5 classroom with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and 5 staff records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined that there was not a violation to an applicable standard, code, and/or law. Therefore, a Violation Notice was not issued.
