Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including phone contacts, and documents review.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 01/25/2022 and concluded on 01/27/2022. The director was contacted by phone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 32 children present, ages three and four, with 7 staff supervising The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and two staff records were reviewed. Two board officer records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. This inspection was amended 02/11/22.

Violations:
Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A
Description: Based on record review, the facility failed to obtain repeat search of central registry checks every five years.
Evidence:1. The inspector reviewed two officer's records. Officer record #1 contained results of a search of the central registry dated 01/23/2017. Officer record #2 contained results of a search of central registry dated 1/25/2017.

Plan of Correction: The human resource office has submitted the central registry checks and will send them to the licensing inspector when received.
