This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 01/20/2022 and concluded on 01/21/2022. The administrator was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 0 children present and 5 staff. The school is currently learning virtually. The inspector emailed the administrator a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 5staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-60-C-2 Description: Based on a record review the center did not ensure all staff had the required background checks.
Evidence
Staff #5, hired 08/15/16 did not have documentation of the the results of a central registry check.Plan of Correction: The center called to follow-up on the check the same day and is waiting to hear back the results.
