8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A subsidy inspection was initiated on 01/25/2022 and concluded on 01/31/2022. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Description: Based on a record review the vendor did not ensure all staff who work directly with children had a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of the date of employment or 90 days.
Staff #1 (hired 12/08/94), #2 (hired 09/25/15), #3 (hired 02/04/2019), #4 (hired 07/26/21) did not have documentation of having a current certification in CPR.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the vendor during the exit interview:
The staff are scheduled to obtain both CPR and First Aid next month.
