An unannounced on-site complaint inspection was conducted on 12/14/2021. There were 18 children, ages 2 months-2 years, and 5 staff members present during the inspection. Information gathered during the complaint inspection determined the complaint to be Not Valid. However, non-compliance with applicable standards or law, not related to the complaint, were identified and are documented on the violation noticed issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-430-I Complaint related: No Description: Based on observation and discussion with the staff, the center failed to ensure that when personal articles are used, they shall be individually assigned.
Evidence: There were 2 pacifiers on the infant side of the facility that were not labeled to indicate individual assignment.Plan of Correction: Will ask parents to provide a lanyard and will always make sure they are labeled.
