Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on a review of staff records, the child day center did not obtain a copy of the results of a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: Staff #1, date of hire 8/16/2021 has resided in the state of Maryland and staff # 3, date of hire 9/7/2021 has resided in the state of New Jersey in the past 5 years. There is no documentation that a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry has been obtained for either staff member.Plan of Correction: The director will complete the required documentation for each staff today. Once the results are received the director will forward the information to the Licensing Inspector.
