This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review and interviews.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 2/1/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 3 children present with 1 staff supervising and 1 manager. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies. A total of 3 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-C Description: Based on record review, staff have not resubmitted tuberculosis (TB) screening results every two years.
Evidence: Staff #3 most recent TB screening is dated 12/30/2018.Plan of Correction: In the future we will thoroughly check records every 6 months for expiring forms.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A-8 Description: Based on record review and interview, the program has not obtained a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy.
Evidence: Child #1 has a diagnosed food allergy (documented on physical exam). The program director stated that they have not obtained an allergy care plan with the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.Plan of Correction: I will email the parents and let them know we need a plan. In the future we will get it before the child's first day.
