8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 2/03/2022 and 2/07/2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain the department's health and safety update course for each staff member.
Evidence:
1. Thirteen staff did not complete the Department's health and safety update course in 2021.

Plan of Correction: Staff that did not complete the training will do so within 30 days. We will add the VA Health and Safety update training course to all Staff's yearly training plan.
