22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education

A monitoring inspection was conducted virtually with the director. Fourteen children were present with 4staff providing supervision. The ages of the children ranged from 2 to 4 years.
Three staff and four children's files were reviewed. The areas of the standards reviewed included administration, staff qualifications and training, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programs, special care provisions and emergencies and special services.
There was one violation issued.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-60-C-2 Description: Based on a review of three staff files and an interview with the director, it was determined that staff , who was hired on 11/22/21, did not have a central registry finding on file by the end of the 30th day of employment.
Evidence:
Staff A's central registry finding was not obtained by the center until 2/16/22.Plan of Correction: The background check was received on 2/16/22 and a copy was provided to Licensing.
