- Technical Assistance:
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. Any violations listed below reflect the new VDOE codes and standards
*Discussed with Director: Proof of Birth documentation - birth certificate number and lowering the mattress in cribs that children are able to turn over by themselves.
An in-person renewal study was conducted today. All rooms are in ratio during the inspection. There are 42 children with 12 staff present today. 2 staff and 3 child records, medications, injury reports, injury prevention plan (update) bottle label and dating, emergency evacuations and emergency supplies are all in compliance.
Children were observed during transitions from outside to inside and vice versa, during diapering and enjoying circle/story time. The inspection will be typed off site and emailed for signatures.
