This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on March 16, 2022. There were 44 children present, ranging in age from 5 months to 5 years and in the care of 9 staff members. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staff qualifications, staffing and supervision, programming, special services, medications, special care provisions and emergencies. A total of 3 children's records, 3 complete staff records, and 3 partial staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined a non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-130-A Description: Based on the review of three children's records and verification from staff, the center failed to obtain the immunization record for one child before the child attended the center.
Evidence:
1. The record for Child #2 contained a immunization record dated 12/09/2021. Date of enrollment for Child #2 was 11/15/2021.
2. The director confirmed that the immunization record was obtained late.Plan of Correction: .In the future, the staff will ensure to obtain an immunization record showing the child is adequately immunized before a child's first date of attendance.
