The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. The violations listed below reflect the new VDOE codes and standards.

An in-person monitoring inspection was conducted today. A building across the parking lot was measured for potential use for the center. Children were observed playing outside, washing hands and eating lunch. 2 staff records were reviewed, both were complete. 2 child records were reviewed, 2 additional records were reviewed for specific items only. First aid supplies, emergency supplies, emergency evacuation drills, lunch boxes labeled/dated and injury reports were all in compliance. The inspection report will be typed off site and emailed to the Director for signature. LI was present today from 10:50 AM - 12:15 PM.
