An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on February 8, 2022 and concluded on March 25, 2022. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the area of supervision. The director was available during the inspection.
Evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegation of non-compliance with standards and law and the complaint is determined to be not valid. Any violations not related to the complaint but identified during the course of the investigation can be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on a review of documentation and interview, the center did not maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence: Review of the attendance record on March 8, 2022 indicated child #1 was signed in. During the inspection administration stated child #1 was picked up at 9am and left for the day. The attendance log was observed at approximately 10:15am and it indicated that child #1 was not signed out. Administration confirmed that child #1 was not signed out.Plan of Correction: Ensure all children are signed in and out on a daily basis. Ensure documentation is noted in each classroom attendance book if/when children are picked up early.
