Consultation provided on the need for a refrigerator, bottle warmer and microwave in the newly established infant room.
- Comments:

A focused announced virtual inspection was conducted to inspect the newly established infant room space. Classroom #2 as outlined on the blueprint of the floor plan will now be the infant room and will have a capacity of 8 infants.
The center provided documentation for one crib that meets the current CPSC guidelines.
There appears ample supplies and furnishings for infant care however you will need to give consideration to obtaining a refrigerator, bottle warmer and microwave in the infant room as it will aide in maintaining supervision and ratios.
Please send me your written procedures for prevention of shaken baby syndrome or abusive head trauma, including coping with crying babies, safety sleep practices, and sudden infant death syndrome awareness as outlined under standard 40.
Also provide licensing with the documentation that you have provided current staff training on shaken baby syndrome as required by standard 240.
