This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on March 30, 2022. There were 11 children present, ranging in age from 4 years to 5 years and in the care of w staff members. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staff qualifications, staffing and supervision, programming, special services, special care provisions and emergencies. A total of 2 children's records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined a non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-D Description: Based on record review and confirmation with the director, the center failed to complete a practice evacuation drill for one month.
Evidence:
1. The evacuation drill record did not show there was a practice drill conducted during the month of January 2022.
2. The director confirmed that they had not completed a drill in January.Plan of Correction: In the future, the director will ensure that a evacuation drill is conducted every month in both classes.
