Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and staff training.

Comments:
This renewal inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 04/15/2022, between the hours of 10 am to 12:30 pm. There were 89 children present, ranging from infant to School-age, with 16 staff supervising in 9 different classrooms. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and all 6 new staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was a non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-330-B
Description: Based on observation the resilient surfacing under playground equipment on the school age playground was insufficient.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (04/15/2022), 5 areas within the poured-in-place resilient surfacing on the School-age/Preschool playground has cracked and come loose.
2. These areas were observed a holes in the surfacing, some as wide as a foot across and several inches deep. These holes in themselves now pose as a tripping hazard.

Plan of Correction: These areas will be addressed and patched.
