Comments:
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 04/14/2022 from 11:05 am - 12:32 pm. At the time of entrance there were 20 school age children present with two staff. A third staff arrived at 11:50 am.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Description: Based on record review, the vendor failed to ensure that staff complete CPR certification which includes an in-person competency demonstration.

Evidence:
The CPR certification obtained by staff 1 lacked an in-person skills demonstration.

Plan of Correction: Staff 1 will complete a YMCA approved CPR class that includes an in-person skills test.
