Discussed completing a lockdown drill before the end of the school year.
Discussed providing shade on the playground during the months of June, July and August.

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 2:25 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. There was one classroom observed with a total of 18 children with 2 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed participating in self-driven activities, playing on the playground, eating snack and other organized activities. Staff were observed having positive interactions with the children. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Handwashing, staff records, physical plant and posted documents were all in compliance. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on children records review, the center did not maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled containing the first and last dates of attendance.
Evidence: 4/4 children records reviewed did not contain the first day of attendance.Plan of Correction: I will get the first day of attendance for each child from the home office and add it to the children?s records.
