Discussed with administration new standards, link to new DOE website and background requirements.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:15pm-2:05pm. There were 35 children (3?5 years-old) directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, eating lunch and napping. There was an adequate supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on observation, cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
In the preschool classroom, a total of 7 containers of Clorox disinfectant wipes were observed stored in unlocked cabinets above the classroom?s sinks.

Plan of Correction: Cleaning materials have been stored in child proof locked cabinets.
