A monitoring inspection was conducted on June 1, 2022. There were twenty-nine children present with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-A Description: Based on observation, facility did not ensure children?s hands are washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.
Evidence: Children were observed sanitizing their hands before eating their afternoon snack and then participating in other table activities. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-F Description: Based on observation, facility did not ensure when meals or snacks are served that they follow the most recent, age-appropriate nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States of Department of Agriculture (USDA).
